RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF MILFORD & NON-RESIDENT PROPERTY OWNERS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN CITY ELECTIONS
Every person who resides within the City of Milford boundaries for at least 30 days prior to the registration deadline or natural persons owning property within the City of Milford at least 30 days prior to the registration deadline who are over the age of 18 years, shall be entitled to 1 vote at said annual municipal election or special election. A non-resident property owner is eligible to vote only if the property is titled in that individual’s name.
The deadline for registering to vote in a City of Milford Election is thirty days prior to the date of the election.
Please note that having registered through the State of Delaware, Kent County or Sussex County Department of Elections does not qualify you to vote in a City of Milford Election. To be eligible, you must have registered at Milford City Hall.
Registrations are also accepted from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Milford City Hall. Prior to an election, special voter registration times will be added on weeknights and Saturdays. Applicants are required to present verification of identity and residence and/or proof of ownership of property.
ONLY REGISTERED VOTERS LISTED ON THE CITY OF MILFORD VOTER REGISTRATION LISTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN A CITY ELECTION OR REFERENDUM.
