The City of Milford is soliciting applications for appointments by the City Council to the Planning Commission in accordance with City of Milford Ordinance §57-2. The general responsibility of the commission is to advise and make recommendations to the City Council on development proposals and to assure compliance with both the Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning and Subdivision Codes of the City of Milford.

The commission also formulates and recommends to the City Manager a comprehensive plan and modifications thereof and exercises other duties as provided by law. Typical applications reviewed by the Planning Commission are subdivisions, conditional use permits, changes of zones and site plans.

In addition to periodic special meetings, the commission regularly convenes the third Tuesday of each month.  Applicants must be a resident of the incorporated area of the City of Milford. Anyone wishing to serve on this commission should file an application with the City Clerk’s Office located at 180 Vickers Drive, Milford, Delaware, 19963.
