WIIN Focus Group with Milford Community - open to the public!

Thursday, June 2, 2022

Please join us on June 2 at 10:30am for a public session to explore YOUR ideas and values related to more recreational, cultural, and eco-tourism offerings along the Mispillion River.

Would you like to see more recreational, cultural, and eco-tourism offerings along the Mispillion River, Cedar Creek or at Slaughter Beach?
Are you concerned about flooding or land use changes impacting community resilience or the health of the area’s natural environment?

Please join us on June 2 at 10:30am for a public session to explore YOUR ideas and values related to these topics.  Your input will help inform development of a strategy of nature-based investments for the Mispillion and Cedar Creek Watersheds.  The City of Milford and the Town of Slaughter Beach are part of a coalition of partners (the Waterways Infrastructure & Investment Network) that was awarded a federal grant to craft a vision for the watersheds.  More information can be found here.

The public session will be facilitated by Dr. Jennifer Egan, a Program Manager in Environmental Economics & Conservation Finance at the University of Maryland’s Environmental Finance Center, and Milford resident Ben Muldrow, a Milford resident and Partner at Arnett Muldrow & Associates, a place-based economic development firm.

Light refreshments will be offered.

Please contact Danielle Swallow at dswallow@udel.edu with questions.
