Following yesterday’s heavy thunderstorm and tornado touchdown, the City of Milford will collect storm debris through Monday, July 12. For pickup, all storm debris must be on the curb inside and/or outside of the brown yard waste can. Branches are not to exceed three inches in diameter and are to be cut in lengths not to exceed four feet. Brush must be placed neatly at the curb, butt end toward the street, and stacked so that one person can handle. Please do not place brush in streets and do not block sidewalks.
During the storm, the City of Milford lost electric service in several communities due to weather conditions. This effected primarily residential service, but also scattered instances of traffic signals and in one case, a sanitary sewer pump station, but without consequence. Power was restored by late evening, but lost again in the early hours of July 2. As of 7:00 AM this morning, it is now fully restored.
Questions and/or to schedule a storm debris pickup, residents can call the City of Milford’s Customer Service Department at 302.422.6616.
