Milford City Council will vote on the final concept plan of the South Walnut Street Traffic Calming and Bike/Pedestrian Improvement Project from Century Engineering after hearing public comments at the Monday, September 25 City Council Meeting. The public is invited to view the final report here and make public comments at the City Council meeting (Sept. 25) beginning at 6pm.
The final concept plan is a culmination of two public open houses, one in December 2022 and the second in April 2023, where the public provided feedback on the proposed plan.
The City hired Century Engineering, Inc. to complete this traffic calming study, which analyzed traffic conditions, identified improvements for traffic calming/speed reduction, identified gaps in the pedestrian network and developed a recommended concept plan for bicycle, pedestrian, and road improvements to enhance the S. Walnut Street corridor (between McCoy Street and Maple Ave). The final concept plan will be used to develop construction plans for future City capital projects.
