Effective February 3, 2025, the intersection at N. Washington St. and Park Ave. will become a 3-way stop.
This change has come after the completion of a traffic study of that intersection. As many know, this intersection has been hard to navigate for years due to the surrounding buildings making it difficult for drivers to see as they enter into N. Washington St. from Park Ave. This 3-way stop will make this intersection safer for all drivers traveling on N. Washington St. and Park Ave.
Important Information to know:
- Stop signs will be installed on N. Washington St. (northbound/southbound) the week of January 27, 2025, but will be covered until February 3, 2025 when they go into effect.
- The Police Department will be monitoring the intersection and providing education to drivers for the first few weeks after the 3-way stop goes into effect. Our goal is to keep everyone safe until drivers become familiar with the new traffic pattern.
