Members of our Public Works, Electric, and Parks & Recreation Departments will be clearing snow from city roadways Saturday through Monday. We’ll provide regular updates on social media throughout the storm.
🚗 Parking & Road Safety Reminders
• Please be mindful of road conditions and our snowplow drivers
• If snowfall exceeds 3 inches, vehicles must be moved off city streets
• Downtown City parking lots will be available
• Snow and ice must be cleared from sidewalks within 24 hours after snowfall ends
🚫 No Parking on DelDOT Snow Routes after 1 Hour of Snowfall
Snow routes include:
• NE/NW Front Street (SR 14)
• SE Front Street (SR 36)
• Lakeview Avenue (SR 36)
• North & South Walnut Streets
🏠 Driveway Snow Removal
Check the posted image for guidance on how to remove snow from your driveway to help prevent snow from being pushed back in by plows.
⚡ Prepare for Potential Power Outages
Winter storms may cause power disruptions. Please:
• Test generators ahead of time
• Charge electronic devices
• Identify your home’s water shut-off valve
• Residents using electrically powered medical devices should have backup plans in place
