[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Recycle Collection Service Temporarily Suspended

July 1 Update: Public Works has been experiencing extensive mechanical difficulties with its fleet of trucks.   We are hoping for some relief on this as early as today.  We are aware of the many missed collections for recycle and trash; catching up on these is our highest priority.  Please be patient with us as we work intermittently through the weekend and on the Independence Day Holiday to catch up.

Due to mechanical challenges with the City’s waste collection vehicles, as of 1:30pm today, June 29, Recycle Collection service will be suspended.  Please check you recycle container as soon as possible if you were scheduled for today’s pickup.  If it has not been emptied, please leave it in its usual pickup spot so that it will be available for delayed pickup as soon as the vehicle resources are back in full operation.  This postponed pickup of Recycle may occur at virtually any daylight hour between now and sunset on Sunday, July 3.

Once normal Recycle collection is restored, a follow up message will be sent.
