Power Savers Logo

Power Savers Alert!!

Due to high temperatures and increasing energy demand, we are asking municipal electric customers to VOLUNTARILY reduce electric use today, Thursday, June 20th. Power Saver Hours are from 3pm to 7pm. Customers are encouraged to lower their electric use during these hours to save money both now and later. Participation will lower electric use throughout the community and in return lower customers’ monthly electric costs and reduce utility energy costs over time. The more people that participate, the bigger the impact.

Customers can help by taking simple steps such as:

When using your programable thermostat to manage your HVAC system make sure to have it adjust the temperature in small increments, this will keep your system from working harder than necessary, and save energy.

Avoid using major appliances during peak energy hours. Wait until the cooler hours of the evening when demand for energy lower.
