[ARCHIVED] #CityHallSelfie Day is August 15!

Have you heard of #CityHallSelfie Day?  August 15 is the day across the country that people stop by their local City Hall or other municipal buildings for a selfie. The event is organized by Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL), a local government professional association that connects, communicates, and educates about local government public service. #CityHallSelfie Day is a chance to celebrate local government service and the important work happening at the local level.

The City of Milford encourages residents and visitors to stop by Milford’s City Hall, snap a selfie, and post their photo to social media using the hashtags #CityHallSelfie and #MilfordDE. Take one by yourself or with a group of co-workers or friends. It takes just a few seconds to snap a photo and participants who stop by City Hall will receive a pin from City Administration for participating. To make the event even more fun, ELGL will be reviewing all of the tagged photos and awarding prizes in 20 different categories.  (In addition to using the hashtags, please tag photos taken in front of our City Hall with @MilfordDE and @CityHallSelfie.)

Milford City Hall is located at 201 South Walnut Street and is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Be sure to follow the City of Milford on Twitter (@MilfordDE) and Facebook (Milford-DE) to see #CityHallSelfie reposts (and for lots of great news and information throughout the year)!
