The Department of Transportation’s (DelDOT) contractor George & Lynch Inc. will be closing the US 113 Northbound Overpass in Milford between Frontage Road and Route 1 northbound to repair the bridge deck.  

The closure of the Overpass will begin at 12:01 AM until 4:00 PM on Monday, January 21, 2019.  

At all times, all businesses on US 113/North DuPont Boulevard will remain OPEN during the closure of the US 113 Northbound Overpass.

Detour Routes

Detour will be Northeast Front Street to Route 1 south to Route 36 East and back to Route 1 north.

Heading north on Route 1 from south of Milford:  No detour

Heading north on US 113 to Route 1 from south of Lincoln:  Turn right onto Johnson Road; turn left onto Wilkins Road; and turn right onto Access Ramp to Route 1.

Heading north US 113 to Route 1 from south of Milford:  Turn right onto Northwest Front Street; continue straight over Rehoboth Boulevard; Follow detour for Route 1 Northbound; south on Route 1; right onto ramp to Route 36;  turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

Heading north on Walnut Street to Route 1:  Motorists will make a U-turn and turn left onto Rehoboth Boulevard; turn left onto Northeast Front Street. Follow detour for Route 1 northbound; south on Route 1; right onto ramp to Route 36;  turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

Heading north on Rehoboth Avenue to Route 1:  Motorists will make a U-turn; and turn left Rehoboth Boulevard; turn left onto Northeast Front Street. Follow detour for Route 1 northbound; south on Route 1; right onto ramp to SR 36; turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

Heading east on Route 14/Milford Harrington Highway to Route 1 Northbound:  Continue onto Northwest Front Street; continue straight over Rehoboth Boulevard. Follow detour for Route 1 northbound; south on Route 1; right onto ramp to Route 36;  turn left onto Route 36/Cedar Beach Road; and turn left onto the ramp to Route 1 northbound.

Truck Routes

Heading north on US 113 to Route 1 from south of Lincoln:  Turn right onto Johnson Road; turn left onto Wilkins Road; and turn right onto Access Ramp to Route 1.

Heading north on US 113 to Route 1 from south of Milford:  Turn right onto Northwest Front Street; continue straight over Rehoboth Boulevard.
