[ARCHIVED] Disability Access Consultants, LLC to Assist with City ADA Plan

The City of Milford has hired Disability Access Consultants, LLC (DAC) to assist the City to update a survey of its facilities, parks, and public rights-of-way.

Beginning in September 2020, DAC accessibility specialists will be taking measurements and photographs of the interior and exterior of City owned and maintained properties. Sidewalks, curb ramps, and intersections will also be surveyed. The project will continue for several months.

All DAC staff members have completed background checks and clearances and wear blue DAC branded shirts with identification tags. DAC surveyors do not need an escort in most areas and would only need City staff assistance if an area is locked, equipped with an active alarm, or is a secure area.

DAC staff members will not take pictures of residents, staff, or program participants, or discuss information and findings while conducting the survey. Information will be available after the report is finalized from the City designated contact person.
