The City of Milford Department of Public Works extends greatest thanks for bearing with us during weather-driven utility and roadway travel interruptions. Yesterday, the City’s Electric Division worked nearly 18 hours getting electric-utility service back on-line after intermittent and scattered power outages. Solid Waste Collection worked from 7:00 AM through windy and precipitous conditions until the weather caused us to temporarily suspend service. Equipment Operators throughout the entire Department worked from the start of the storm until just before midnight on plowing and salting of arterial roads as well as secondary roads in residential communities. Tomorrow, Public Works will focus on finalizing sidewalk clearing at public facilities as well as catching up on trash and recycle collection. The Department of Public Works is committed to persevere against any weather conditions. Your thoughtful and constructive feedback is not only appreciated but encouraged!
